Wedding Quilt
For my friends wedding in December 2017

Just started on 27 August 2017 and already have all the HST cut now to create these blocks and sew together.

4th September finished the quilt top and pillow cases to match complete with machine embroidery as well, now to sandwich and FMQ

9 September 2017 sandwiched the quilt and started quilting it, having difficulty in working out what to quilt though.

Quilt of Many Colours
Facebook - Quilting Guys & Gals Group BOM

I saw this pattern on Pinterest and decided that I would use it for this, I think a different colour butterfly would look awesome. September & October done.

12/09/2017 - November will be pink

Free BOM 2017

Up to stage 6 completed and the last two borders need to be added, slowly working on the applique border, however it is taking longer that I would like due to having to get another quilt finished and started.

I have completed one corner of the next border just need to stitch it down,

12/09/2017 - I have started starching the next corner pieces and cut out all my border corners and sewn them together. I also started working on the little diamonds for the next border and have one side done of them as well. So progress is slow but getting there

Inspiration - My Daughter's Quilt
My Daughters Special Quilt

This quilt is a combination of quilting, piecing and hand embroidery. I am hand embroidering special motivational / inspirational sayings to remind her that she is a special unique individual that can achieve anything her heart desires.

I have only 5 blocks to go to hand embroider and then I can put this all together, I can't wait.

I just got the most gorgeous minky material - purple mermaid's tail for the backing - so this will be a first for me sewing minky to cotton.

12/09/2017 - still working on the next block of hand embroidery progress is slow especially with the late nights from my daughter working though have decided that each night she works I will do some of the block instead of sewing in my sewing room the whole time she is at work. That will hopefully see faster progress on this quilt for her.
